3. School computers can flag sensitive content. Please be aware of this in your writing.

Fiction Submissions: The Swamp Review is looking for original fiction, including flash fiction, of no more than 5000 words. This should be polished, peer-reviewed, publication-ready work.

Poetry Submissions: Please submit up to 4 poems (up to 10 pages total on a single doc) for consideration

We welcome poems in all languages. For poems that are not primarily in English, please include a translation of the non-English portion(s) of the poem. This is an accessibility consideration for our editorial staff, not an attempt to privilege the English language.

Essay Submissions: Here we are looking for creative essays, short memoir pieces, or other forms of writing that don't adhere to strict categories. Max word count 4000.

Art & Multimedia Submissions: We are looking to publish all kinds of art in any medium that can be displayed online. If you have a sculpture, photograph it. If you have a song, drop a link to the .mp3. A portfolio can contain up to three pieces for consideration per reading period.
